Joshua had an impossible assignment: lead God's people into the Promised Land after the death of Moses, the greatest leader Israel had ever known. In addition to facing the enemies ahead, Joshua also had to face the constant comparison to his predecessor.
Three times God reminded Joshua to be strong and courageous, and for the same reason: “I am with you.”
Biblical courage isn’t pretending you aren’t afraid. Courage is moving forward because God's presence is greater than your fear. Joshua's strength came from knowing that the same God who was faithful to Moses would be faithful to him.

It’s all too easy to struggle with fear about the future—career, relationships, purpose, and making the right choices.
What fear is keeping you from moving forward?

Take one courageous step today: have the hard conversation. Start the habit you’ve been putting off. Pursue the opportunity you’ve been talking yourself out of. Apologize. Trust God with something you’ve been holding back.
Pray: God, give me courage that comes from your presence, not my circumstances. Help me remember that I never walk into the future alone because you are already there. Amen.
